Dr. Echternach

Dr. EchternachDr. Echternach grew up outside Philadelphia and received his B.S. in Biology at Delaware Valley College. Following undergraduate school, he attended Temple University Dental School and received his D.D.S. in 1975. After exploring the entire Northeast for weeks, he finally selected Henniker as the perfect small town to open his office. That was in 1976, and he has been practicing devotedly there ever since.

Dr. Echternach began his dental education at a very early age. Not coincidentally, Dr. Echternach’s father and grandfather were both dentists. His dad was thrilled when John decided to become a dentist; and Dr. Echternach doubts that any other profession could have been as fulfilling and enjoyable as dentistry is for him.

Dr. Echternach is an active member in the American Dental Association, the New Hampshire Dental Society and the Concord Dental Society. He has served as president of the Concord Dental Society and also as a trustee and officer in the New Hampshire Dental Society. He enthusiastically participates in several programs that provide dental care to New Hampshire’s underserved population.

In his free time, Dr. Echternach enjoys tai chi, biking, cross-fit training, snowshoeing and climbing trees with his two granddaughters.
